No1 Cromer is the latest restaurant from renowned chef, Galton Blackiston. Locally sourced produce is at the heart of the menu and the ethos of No1 Cromer.
We are delighted with our latest rating in the Times News Paper as the 6th best place to eat by the sea.
As well as our Fish and Chips Restaurant, we are very proud to announce the opening of ‘Upstairs at No1’, for true Modern British Cooking. Offering unrivalled views of the sea and Cromer pier, and a sunset that will literally take your breath away.
Upstairs at No 1, Head chef Jimmy Preston has chosen a varied and unique menu, although British at heart, it features influence from the world over. Such as our sharing tapas including Padron Peppers, and our now locally famous, cockled popcorn. For mains you will find a wide selection from our Cromer Crab Burger to Japanese Pork Belly Sliders. We are also now serving Fish and Chips. Gluten free fish and chips are available on request.
Our Christmas Menu will be served from Sunday 1st November – Wednesday 23rd December. We will be serving our Christmas Menu in our Upstairs Restaurant only. Christmas party reservations can be made through calling our Upstairs Restaurant telephone number. Christmas party bookings will only be available for tables for 6 or more guests. We will require a pre order from you and your party at least 48 hours before your booking.

As well as Fish & Chips from the restaurant, our real beating heart is our Cromer Fish & Chips Takeaway. Just a few steps from the beach, pier and town centre, the position couldn’t be more perfect.
You will find the same great quality food and local produce as you do in the Restaurant, including all sausages fresh from a local butcher.
Open 7 days a week through the summer downstairs at No1 Cromer is the newest Fish and Chips in Cromer and according to the Times news paper July 2014 the 6th best place to eat by the beach.
Ice Cromer is our brand new and fully refurbished Ice Cream, Coffee, and Donut parlour. Sitting right on the corner of New Street, offering takeaway and of course the selection is available to everyone visiting the restaurant. All ice cream is produced from scratch, and all ingredients sourced (even the milk!) from the heart of Norfolk in conjunction with Lakenham Creamery.
Open every day and right on the sea front, Ice Cromer is the perfect place to grab a quick drink, snack and of course Ice Cream. We have one of the biggest selections available, with a total of 33 flavours including: Mint Chocolate Chip, Strawberry, Raspberry, Rum & Raisin, Vanilla and one of our favourites, Tutti Frutti.
We can also offer Angelito Whippy ice creams in strawberry and vanilla, as well as hot sugar donuts and Sundaes; including our quite different Donut Sunday, Donut base with Angelito ice cream, chocolate sauce and nut topping.
Ice Cromer is the only place you will find the latest equipment and freshest Ice Cream in Cromer.
Ice Cromer is open 11am until 8pm every day during the Summer.

We only source the best quality ingredients, and as many as we can using local and sustainable sources. From the milk and eggs used for Ice Cromer, to growing our own potatoes for your lovely chips. Even the simple things such as our Mushy Peas and pots of sauces are made in-house and to our own recipes as we know the small things count.
No1 Cromer is backed by three local, and passionate people. Firstly the renowned chef and owner of the Michelin Starred Morston Hall, Galton Blackiston. Galton is leading the kitchen with his recipes and knowledge, and over the coming weeks will be adding a few of his signature dishes and personal favourites to the menu.
Christopher Griffin is the owner of Norfolk Farm Produce, one of the largest fresh produce growers in Norfolk, supplying leading grocers and supermarkets, we are of course his new No1 customer and all of our potatoes and produce are grown on his farm.
Finally Spencer Gray grew up in Norfolk and has strong connections to the coast and the sea. His grandfather owned a number of local fishing boats out of Cromer and Kings Lynn, landing local fish and of course the famous Cromer Crab. Many of his boats also returned hundreds of soldiers from Dunkirk in the second world war.
